With the bulk cargo volume and stockpile increasing year by year, the dust pollution caused by the loading and unloading of dry bulk materials, especially cement clinker, dried cassava, ore, coal, iron ore powder and other types of dusty cargoes to the surrounding areas of the port has attracted the high attention of the relevant government ministries and the serious concern of the society, and also brought some influence to the development of the port.


The port uses an open, open-air operation. When the bulk cargo grab is opened, the material is affected by gravity and falls freely towards the hopper. With a large amount of material falling, the material will carry a lot of air into the hopper, causing a large positive pressure environment in the hopper, forming an airflow opposite to the direction of the falling material, thus producing a certain upward thrust on the material particles. Large particles and denser material particles are affected very little, while small particles of smaller quality and density will be suspended in the air and spread outwards along the inner wall of the hopper, causing pollution to the surrounding air environment.

QSHI dust-proof hopper with inserted fabric belt dust collector allows for easy installation of multiple dust extraction ports in the hopper, close to the dust generating area, and for the installation of multiple separate dust extraction units to control the dust. As the suction ports are very close to the dust generating area, the air volume drawn in is small and the dust capture efficiency is high and the required extraction volume is small.
